Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Sameer Jejurikar Patients Honor Him With “Compassionate Doctor Certification”

Compassionate Doctor Certification might be described as the Peoples’ Choice Awards of the medical world. Reviews of doctors collected from Vitals.com, UCompareHealthCare.com, and similar sites determine what physicians are considered for the honor.

There are 870,000 doctors practicing in the US. Yearly, only 26,100 of those practitioners receive Compassionate Doctor Certification. It is the patients who ultimately determine the recipients of the certification. In 2012 Dallas Texas based Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Sameer Jejurikar received the honor. Dr. Jejurikar’s patients gave him a 4.6 out of a possible five-star rating.

In practice, for over two decades the bulk of Dr. Jejurikar’s training comes from the University of Michigan. Both his undergraduate and Medical Degree are from that School. His residency in Plastic Surgery was completed at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Jejurikar also studied at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

The cosmetic and reconstructive surgery practice that Dr. Sameer Jejurikar is affiliated with is the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. The institute offers more than 40 cosmetic procedures for the skin, face, body, and breasts. Dr. Jejurikar is affiliated with three hospitals in the Dallas area. These facilities are Dallas Medical Center, Pine Creek Medical Center, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

Estimates place the number of people in Bangladesh with cleft deformities at 300,000. In the entire country, there are only 30 surgeons qualified to correct those deformities. Every year Dr. Sameer Jejurikar sets time aside to augment that number by volunteering to perform surgeries with the charity Smile Bangladesh.
